COMING SOON!

This beta site has been launched to allow users to get a taste of our nonprofit data, and to let us know how they think they might use the site and how they feel about the user experience. However, we have much more in store in our Phase Two rollout!

  • Comparative and advanced data. Users will be able to generate figures that place the nonprofit data into a broader context. This includes an ability to compare nonprofit employment and wages to other sectors, and to overlay the data with useful contextual data such as for-profit and government employment, socio demographic indicators, and more. Based on user feedback, we hope to add variables around which there is significant interest.
  • More robust comparisons. Users will have the ability to choose more points of comparison, as well a multi-comparisons to the greatest extent allowed by the figures chosen.
  • Machine-readable outputs. Upon creation of a free account, all users will be able to download image files or PDF files of bar charts, pie charts, or maps. When phase two rolls out, users will also have the option to download their data in machine-readable formats that they can use to generate their own figures.

Phase Two is expected to roll out Summer of 2015, and we will alert all users who have created a user account when the new functionality is available. You can also join the Center for Civil Society Studies mailing list, and follow us on Twitter or Facebook, to keep up-to-date on new features and announcements about this site, as well as our ongoing research on the U.S. and international nonprofit sector, philanthropy, and volunteering.
